The center for Islamic Sciences (CIS) is a research and publication center dedicated to a renewed connection with the Islamic spiritual and intellectual traditions.
Established in 2000, CIS has published more than 3,000 pages of original research on various topics including, Islam and science, history and philosophy of science, Islamic scientific tradition, and case studies on major voices in the Islam and science discourse.
In 2009, CIS initiated the first encyclopedia of the Qur’an in any western language: The Integrated Encyclopedia of the Qur’an (IEQ) is a 7-volume work that presents all concepts, persons, places, events, and things mentioned in the Qur’an in 524 alphabetically arranged articles.
