Dr. Nadr Mohamed Jomha BMSc, MD, MSc, FRCS(C), PhD is currently an assistant professor in the Department of Surgery at the University of Alberta. He completed the majority of his education at the University of Alberta where he obtained all of his degrees. His subspecialty training was in Sydney, Australia where he completed fellowships in Knee surgery and Foot and Ankle surgery. Dr. Jomha returned to Edmonton in 1998 to establish his current clinical Orthopaedic practice in trauma surgery at the level one trauma center (University of Alberta Hospital) and elective lower extremity reconstructive surgery. In addition, he then went on to defend his PhD thesis in 2003. His two primary areas of research are 1) cryopreservation of joint cartilage for transplantation purposes and 2) joint cartilage regeneration techniques.
