Haroon Hashmi has twelve years of medical research experience that includes research on duodenal and peptic ulcers, diarrhoeal diseases of infants, leprosy and acute myelogenous leukaemia. In 1996 he joined Biomira Inc., a Canadian biotechnology company that is presently focused on therapeutic cancer vaccines. In his current position in the Division of Clinical and Regulatory Affairs, he deals with the regulatory health agencies of the US, Canada, and Europe. He is Regulatory Affairs Certified (RAC), a professional designation granted by Regulatory Affairs Professional Society. His credentials include a MSc degree in Microbiology from the University of Karachi, Pakistan, and a MSc degree in Experimental Medicine from the University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada.
