Dr. Mohamed Salim Sabir is currently working as a General Surgeon at Fort Saskatchewan General Hospital. His main area of interest is Advanced Laparoscopic and Endoscopic Surgery.  He graduated in Medicine from University of Bihar in 1964. After a period of Internship he moved to United Kingdom, where he completed his Surgical Residency and obtained Fellowship of Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. He spent a year as Chief Resident at University of Alberta Hospital, Edmonton, Alberta and then obtained fellowship of Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

He has worked as a Surgical Specialist (Major) in Pakistan Armed Forces during 1971-72. He has been the past President of Muslims for Peace in Bosnia, Edmonton Chapter.
